hey everyone i just became a member today just thought id show u what we got yesterday. we got lots of work ahead of us but its definitely guna be worth it. let me know what u think of it. i believe these are deuce rear ends there mounted solid on a piece of frame but thats guna be changed ;D Attachments:

after we stripped off the old tranny an seat, the guy we got it off of had the engine mounted in the back the seat was mounted right above the tranny which i belive was out of a 1 ton 4 speed maybe Attachments:

yea the frame is quite heavy. for now just guna kinda do a budget build to have somthing together i got a 351 and 5spd tranny guna run a 9 inch clutch an i picked up a transfer case out of another army truck not guna have tons of power for now but atleast itl be mobile. i got leaf springs out of a 3/4 ton disel hopin there guna be heavy enough. not sure what kinda body is goin on it just yet. ill keep pictures posted tho as the build goes on.

Yup we got a few more steps ahead with the build. We got a 96 gmc topkick With a 366 v8 in it to put the rearends under we got A transfer case an tires now to put it all together. There will Be pictures posted throughout the build.

We measured out the frame today were Guna be cutting ten an a half feet off The back of the frame. Attachments:

Found a little time tn to clean up the transfercase a little an throw Some primer on it. Gear ratio on the t case is 196 to 1. Anyone know if that's A good gear ratio if we're runnin a 366 gas, allison automatic an 50" tires? Attachments:

im gonna say no, but it depends on how low the alison tranny is geared....my 4 low is 2:71, with 6;72 axel gears and 4:02 first gear ratio, i can barly turn my tires, mind u i dont have bbc tourqe...id say find out your first gear ratio in your tranny

That's true I'm assuming 1st gear is probably low since it was a gas box truck but I guess I got Some research to do. I guess will find out one way or another anyway
