Well I finally managed to get the truck in the garage. Front axle and leaf springs are out. Gotta do a bit of frame work and get the front springs fixed up before I can bolt the 60 under it. Also planning a sm465/208 swap at the same time. I'll try and remember the camera tomorrow.

Haven't had any time to turn a wrench. All I have is a truck on stands with no front axle. Got the front springs beefed and arched, thats about it so far. Should have some pics of something this weekend. Gotta fix up the frame a bit before I can hang the axle tho. Made the deal on the new sneakers today... Can't wait to get them home and stare at them lol. ..... which reminds me.. ya he shoots off about pics and don't even post any himself ;D Where's a pic of yours?

Spent a few hours on it this weekend. Dropped the gas tank and pulled all the factory lines out from inside the boxed section of frame so I could start fixing it. Man was there ever allot of mud inside the frame. WOW!! Still have to clean out the other side. Decided to hang the springs and stick the axle under it to see what it looked like on its own weight. 90% of the tire sticks out past the body lol.... Thinkin I might need bigger wedges for it. Also tossing the idea of cutting and turning the inner C's. I'm likin how high it is. I hope the springs don't settle too much lol.

Dont put very much wedge in the front. When you turn your tires lean over. I have cut and turned a 60 and a 2.5 ton eaton. I did not turn the Cs i cut the axle tube and welded it. If you do turn it up you have to drill a new hole in your cover to keep the fill plug high. If not you will burn up the pinion bearings.

charles, what r u using for front springs? The mains are S10 rears. The rest are full size rears with a little arch pounded into them.

Spent a couple hours on it today. Got the inside of the frame patched where the hole was and got the rear end and springs out. Planning on adding a couple thicker plies and putting a little arch in them. Found a badly bent spring hanger. There rotten too so I may look for better ones to put in. Gotta start remembering the camera. My cell takes shitty pics.
