Hey can someone give me some info on the 2 ton axles. I can get a full set both housing, springs front&back, divorced transfer case, both drive shafts if I want them but never seen to much info on them. I'm not to sure on the year of them so. Any info will be great.

I know a little about them. They are front loaders. They have weak axles for 2 ton but stronger than 1 ton. Im not sure the gear ratios that they had. Do you have any pics. Some people called the gmc 2.5 ton axles the 2 tons. They have 6.17 gears.

I saw them for sale. It was not a great deal. For the same price you can run eaton 2.5 tons. The problem with these is there are so few around that if you do break than parts would be so hard to find. If rockwells are to pricey than I would go with eatons GMC 2.5 tons. They are alot easyier to come by and stronger. I would leave alone unless you know where there is parts.
