well a few of us know i was on the hunt for a dana 60 for a while an there wasent much around here on the island so i had to go to ontario for my sisters wedding an figured that would be the place i would find one so while i was up there for 2 weeks i went on the hunt well i found one now the question is how do i get this thing home with a grand prix kids an all ready a trunk load of shit but i was thinking ahead when i packed the car to leave i remembered getting a trailer hitch for the car one time in a junkyard so i looked an found it with out the woman finding out i packed it in the car along with a bunch of tools so now i have a 60 an a trailer hitch now need a trailer well i thought about renting one then thought about buying one so my sister started asking around an one of her nabiours ended up having a old pop up that was already striped i said thats perfect so we went an got it an drug it too her place it needed sum werk but its a free bee perfect i thought lil bit of werk an away we go so i did it over with some scrap wood she had around beside the barn picked up new rims an tires checked an re-greased the bearings an i was good ohh an registration was a breeze dident ask any questions no vin number no nothing just asked the weight an gave me a plate witch was 35 bucks so all an all the tralier cost me under 200 heres some pics Attachments:

made 2 new bundles of leafs the old ones were getting really week  dident like how the center bolt was on the new leafs so decided to lift the truck more an get the center bolt where it should be so made some brackets an welded them on  made some gussets welded them  |

so in the mix of all that i had to strip the 60 an figure out how i was gonna cut an turn the C`s to get a better pinion angle  well i did alot of home work an i figured id just cut the tubes borrowed a big pipe cutter an no turning back   heres a lil vid took like 20 mins aside but u get the drift it dident even cut all the way but it gave a nice stright square line to finish with the grinder www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOibgziyqHMlast bit with the grinder  an now i have the 60 i couldent find anywhere in as many pieces possable an cut in 3  |

so now there cut went an found some pipe that fit tight inside the tubes for a sleve messed around for days with the t-case angel an pinion till i was happy Vèd all the pecies an preped it to go get welded  sleved all Vèd an together  an welded  had a buddy weld it up hes a red seal welder an welds 1/2 inch high presure pipe for a living perfect ;D |

bolted the diff back in after it was welded put the front shaft in an was very happy with the shaft angle shaft still turns at full drop mind ya the axal is empty so i may have too run a limiten strap just incase   so now i have too take it back out put the gears an pinion in it put it all together an bolt it back in the truck but its getting there |

i also have too figure out the steering i refuse too go with hydraulic but i think i figured it out i have too go with a cross over some home an my old steering box wouldent work as the pitman arm was pointed at the drivers tire  so i looked around at other cars trucks vans too see what would work an i found this it came off a 1990 vandura a full size work van im hoping its gonna work but i think so  now dont forget the leafs are droped about 5 inches now from this pic im hoping to get the cross over to werk it should |
