Definitely a D60 unless you plan on spending the big bucks on 2.5 ton gear and what T-case you go with will depend on what front axle you go with.
The GM Dana 60 is low pinion and passenger side drop. A 205 T-case is gear driven, very strong, and a good mate to this axle.
The Ford Dana 60 is high pinion (stronger diff in a front application than low pinion) and drivers side drop.
I haven't done this swap myself, but assuming your truck is already a 4x4, than it already has a d-side T-case so if I'm thinking right, with the ford 60, you could use your own T-case, not have to modify your exhaust, have a much nicer front drive shaft angle because of the high pinion, and have the stronger of the 2 front diffs. This is just me thinking tho.
As for the rear axle, a GM 14 bolt is strong and fairly easy to find.
Do you plan to run stock engine and tranni? If so, what are they?
Charles.

Was thinking about the low-pinion Dana 60 for her. Would like to find a set of Rockwell 2 1/2-ton or even the new High-pinion Dana 70 that came in the new Medium Duty Chevy's ;D. But I can't complain about the truck she is going with the big boys that are running 44's and up.

Yes she is 4x4 With a 14-bolt rear end.If I can find a good gear ratio to work I would go with the High-pinion Dana 60 front end.
